Admire the Great Barrier Reef on a scenic helicopter flight from Cairns and discover its marine landscapes from above!

You will make your own way to the Cairns Heliport to board your helicopter. After check-in and a safety briefing, you will take off for a 30-minute scenic flight over the Great Barrier Reef.

From the air, you will fully appreciate the vastness and beauty of this iconic natural wonder. You will fly over Green Island as well as, at low tide, Vlasoff Sand Cay and Upolu Sand Cay, with their white sandbanks surrounded by turquoise waters.

Throughout the flight, you will enjoy unobstructed views of coral reefs and the many shades of blue of the ocean. With a bit of luck, you may also spot manta rays, sea turtles, and other marine life. During the winter months, it is sometimes possible to see whales.

  • Time: on request (the exact schedule will need to be confirmed following booking with the on-site service provider, whose telephone number will be given to you in your voucher)
  • Duration: 30-minute flight (allow 1h30 on site in total)
  • Minimum number of participants: 2 people
  • Maximum number of participants: 6 people
  • Registration required 45 minutes before departure
  • At the time of booking, you will be asked to indicate the weight of each passenger. You will be weighed by the service provider on site. If your weight varies by more than 10%, you will be charged an additional fee
  • Maximum weight per seat: 130 kg
