Explore Buga and relax at Calima Lake on a private day trip with a guide!
You will be collected at your hotel before heading to the town of Buga, located about 1 hour north of Cali. Accompanied by your guide, you will start with a visit to Buga's cathedral, the Basilica of Our Lord of the Miracles. In the heart of the historic centre of Buga, you will have the opportunity to see its 17th and 18th century buildings. The cathedral is the main place of interest in the city, it is the fourth oldest in Colombia and has become a very significant place of worship in the country. You will contemplate this architectural gem, and admire the tiled roofs representing the city's colonial past.
You will continue your tour by going to Calima Lake, located in the Cauca Valley, west of Buga. It is the largest man-made lake in Colombia and offers a wide range of water sports. You can choose to walk around the lake or do a water activity (not included). At lunchtime, a typical Colombian meal will be provided.
You will be taken back to your hotel in Cali in the late afternoon.
