Explore Helsinki by Hop-on, Hop-off bus!
Start the tour at the senat, which is home to 4 of Helsinki's principal monuments: the Cathedral, Govenment building, University of Helsinki, and the National Library of Finland. At the center of the square, admire the statue of Alexander II.
After having explored everything there, take the bus towards cafe Ursula and lunch while enjoying the Baltic sea. Next, take stop No. 4 to walk through Eira, a colorful neighborhood that has many monuments. Then continue on to stop No. 9, where visitors can make purchases at a flea market and try local specialties.
Visitors can also go to the Swedish theatre, an iconic monument that is lit with different colors at night.
Don't miss stop No. 11, where visitors can explore the Temppeliaukio church, which was dug from stone. Continue along the way to Sibelius, an imposing statue that weighs 24 tons and is made from pipes that represent birches and other trees.
