Embark on a 5* full-board cruise for 5 days on the Nile and discover the many must-see sites from Luxor to Aswan!
Day 1: East Bank - Luxor
You'll be taken from your hotel on the East Bank, Luxor airport or the railway station to the banks of the Nile, where you'll board the cruise boat and settle into your cabin. After lunch you'll visit the Temple of Karnak, the largest temple in Egypt. The site contains over 200 well-preserved temples, columns and chapels. Your guide will tell you all about the site during your visit. You'll also visit Luxor Temple, which is dedicated to the deity Amun and located in the heart of ancient Thebes. You'll return to the boat for dinner and the boat will remain docked in Luxor for the night.
Day 2: West Bank - Luxor
After breakfast, you'll set out to explore Luxor's west bank and its famous Valley of the Kings. This vast region of Egypt houses the tombs of the New Kingdom pharaohs. This UNESCO World Heritage Site still holds many secrets. You'll visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh to rule over Ancient Egypt. Built in the middle of nowhere, this temple is an architectural feat. You'll then get back on the boat which will head off towards Edfu, passing through Esna. You'll be served lunch on board and can spend a relaxing afternoon admiring the views of the Nile's banks. After dinner the boat will remain in dock for the night at Edfu.
Day 3: Edfu, Kom Ombo & Aswan
After breakfast on board, you'll go on a guided tour to the Temple of Horus. This temple is the second most important sanctuary in Egypt after Karnak, and is also extremely well-preserved. You'll return to the boat for lunch while it heads to Kom Ombo. You'll stop to discover the famous temple of Sobek and Haroëris. You'll return to the boat, which will continue its journey towards Aswan while you dine. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 4: High Dam, Philae Temple & the Unfinished Obelisk - Aswan
You'll build up your strength with a hearty local breakfast, before exploring the many sites that Aswan has to offer. You'll discover the High Dam, an engineering marvel, and then take a motorboat to the temple of Philae, Aswan's most famous site dedicated to the goddess Isis. After this visit you'll go to the the Unfinished Obelisk and learn about its captivating history. You'll return to the boat for lunch and enjoy a restful afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.
Day 5: Last Day - Aswan
You'll enjoy a final local breakfast, before a transfer takes you to Aswan airport or train station.
