Head to the Bavarian Alps for a trip to the summit of the Zugspitze, Germany's highest glacier!
Set off from Munich to the Bavarian Alps. Along the way, you will stop to visit the Ettal Abbey, a place of pilgrimage dedicated to the Virgin Mary that was first founded by Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian in the 14th century.
The bus will then continue through Garmish-Partenkirchen to the Eibsee where a cable car will take you to the summit of the Zugspitze, the highest point in Germany!
At nearly 3,000 metres above sea level, the peak looks out across more than a thousand German, Austrian, Swiss, and Italian mountain peaks. After taking in the view, you'll travel back down the mountain by cog train. The bus will then return you to Munich, arriving in the late afternoon.
