Visit an iconic structure of the modernist movement in architecture and a masterpiece of the famous architect Le Corbusier!

The Villa Savoye, also called “Les Heures Claires” was built between 1928 and 1931 by the architect Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, known as Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. All of Le Corbusier's principles of modern architecture shaped in 1927 were used in this weekend villa, commissioned by the Savoye family: stilts, garden-roof, open-plan space, horizontal windows, free facade and use of reinforced concrete.

Abandoned for several years, the building was restored by the state between 1963 and 1997 and classified a historic monument in 1964. The Villa Savoye has also been listed a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Validity: Tuesday to Saturday (except in exceptional cases such as certain religious services)
  • Hours: 10am to 5pm/6pm depending on the period* (given as an indication, please visit the monument's website to check opening times)
     
  • You are asked to select a tentative date when booking. Please note, however, that you will be able to visit on the date of your choice (see expiry date on your ticket)
  • Last admission 30min before closing
  • The information booklet is available in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese, and will be given to you at the entrance
  • The monument is accessible to people with reduced mobility
  • Participants under 18 years of age and European Union residents under 26 years of age, disabled people (and their carers), jobseekers, holders of the Carte Culture - Carte ICOM and those of the Pass Education may enter free of charge on presentation of proof
  • PLEASE NOTE: anyone receiving free admission must go through the ticket office to check their receipt
  • Please note that all tickets issued are non-cancellable, non-changeable and non-refundable
