Play at being Superman on this extreme bungee jump over the Shotover Canyon!

A 4x4 will take you from Queenstown to the Canyon. After a few minutes' walk through the bush, you will reach the clifftop platform.

At around 110m (360ft) above the river, you will need all your nerve to take the leap! You'll be safely attached to a rope as you swing over the canyon like a pendulum! You can choose from among more than 70 types of jump: head first, in a pair, curled up – or even sat on a chair!

You will freefall for almost 60m on this bungee jump, then the ropes act as an enormous swing with a span of over 200m… all of this within the canyon's magnificent landscapes!

This experience is sure to leave thrill seekers with a smile on their face!

At the end of the activity you will be driven back to Queenstown.

If you are scared of heights, you can accompany some of the braver jumpers as a spectator. In order to book a place in the shuttle and access the platform, please indicate how many spectators there will be when you book (NZ$20 per person).

  • Available: every day (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Duration: 2 hrs 30 mins approx.
  • Times: 8:30am, 9:30am, 11am, 12-noon, 2pm, 3pm, 4:30pm or 5:30pm. Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes in advance. The times of 8:30am, 4:30pm and 5:30pm are dependant on visibility during winter
  • To take part in this activity simply present your voucher to the local tour operator on the day
  • Once you have done your jump, you will be able to do additional jumps (NZ$35 per additional jump to be paid on the day)
  • For safety reasons, children under 10 years of age cannot take part in this activity. Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult
  • You will have the possibility to do a tandem jump (indicate your choice upon arrival)
  • For safety reasons, participants must not weigh more than 135 kg (298 lbs) (individual jump). The total weight for tandem jumps must not exceed 180 kg (395 lbs)
  • It is recommended that you wear closed-toe shoes during the jump
