Set off on a snowshoe hike to discover the frozen Korouoma waterfalls and enjoy a barbecue in the heart of the Lapland forest!
You'll enjoy a transfer from your accommodation in Rovaniemi or directly from our partner's agency (depending on the option chosen) and then head for Korouoma National Park, near the village of Posio.
During your journey, you'll cross the Arctic Circle, a symbolic place that your driver guide will be sure to introduce to you.
On arrival, you'll don a full wetsuit to beat the cold, attach crampons to your boots and set off on a unique hike through the frozen waterfalls of Korouoma National Park.
You'll follow snow-covered hiking trails that offer panoramas typical of Lapland. Throughout the hike, you'll observe a dozen frozen waterfalls, each more impressive than the last, then follow the stream called Brown River, which joins the canyons of Korouoma National Park.
At lunchtime, your guide will set up a traditional campfire in the middle of nature. You can then sit by the fire to warm up before enjoying a Lapp barbecue of pork sausages, Lapp bread, and toasted marshmallows. You'll also sample the traditional Lappish drink of hot blueberry juice, which will restore your strength.
After a well-deserved break, you'll turn around to rejoin your bus, then be driven back to Rovaniemi.
