This famous valley is situated at 1,200 metres altitude and boasts incredible views of its impressive peaks: El Capitan, Half Dome, Cathedral Rocks... The Merced River and magnificent waterfalls run through the valley. At about 740 metres high, the Yosemite Falls is the most breathtaking and highest waterfall in North America.
A must-see for nature lovers, Yosemite Valley is also a place steeped in history. You'll be accompanied by an experienced guide for the duration of your tour.
Day 1: Giant Sequoias and Tunnel View (Yosemite National Park)
- Early morning departure from San Francisco.
- Admire San Francisco's must-see landmarks during the people-carrier ride: Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz Island and San Francisco Skyline.
- Arrive in the valley and have lunch amidst ancient Giant Sequoias measuring over 200 feet tall and 30 feet wide.
- Drive to Tunnel View, Yosemite's most iconic viewpoint. On the programme: incredible views of Yosemite Valley and its cliffs as far as the eye can see.
- Choice of activity: visit to Yosemite town or short hike in the valley.
- Settling in at the campsite.
- Dinner and evening around the campfire.
Day 2: Yosemite High Country (Yosemite National Park)
- Breakfast.
- Drive to Yosemite High Country. On the programme: a visit to an alpine setting where glistening lakes give way to green meadows.
- Dinner and evening around the campfire.
Day 3: Yosemite Valley (Yosemite National Park)
- Breakfast.
- Choose from a variety of activities: hike to a waterfall, bike ride, or relax by the Merced River.
- Drive to El Capitan Meadow to view the largest monolith in the valley. El Capitan overlooks the Yosemite Valley from a height of 1,095 metres.
- Return to San Francisco in the evening.
