Visit Taipei's iconic landmarks and discover Taiwanese history in just one day!
Taipei will have no more secrets for you with this guided bus tour retracing the main monuments of the Taiwanese capital. You'll meet your guide downtown and make your first stop at the Grand Hotel Taipei. Take a group photo in front of the hotel and admire its unique architecture.
You will then head for the National Palace Museum, a monumental museum housing one of the world's most important collections of Chinese art (around 700,000 pieces) and tracing over 8000 years of history.
You'll take the bus back to Dadaocheng, one of Taipei's oldest districts, famous for its rare atmosphere.At the heart of the district is Dihua Street, an ancient shopping street lined with historic buildings. You'll also see Taipei's North Gate, once part of the city's surrounding wall.
Next stop: Ximending, Taipei's shopping and entertainment district. You can explore the area and dine in one of its many restaurants (meals at own expense). After lunch, you'll visit Longshan Temple, built in the 18th century, and learn more about Taïwan religious practices.
You will then visit the mémorial dedicated to Chiang Kaï-chek, Taïwan's first president. You'll also be able to attend the hourly guard relay. Your last stop of the day is Taipei 101, Taïwan's iconic skyscraper. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the city from the observatory on the 89th floor! (ticket not included).
The day will end at the departure point or at the Raohe night market.
