Fly over the beautiful scenery of the Coast Mountains and enjoy a lakeside picnic on a helicopter flight from Whistler!

Accompanied by a mountain guide, you'll board a helicopter and head to the Coast Mountains, located in Whistler's countryside. You will enjoy magnificent views of the snowy valleys and fir-tree covered hills in this area. You will see the alpine lakes all around these valleys. You will make a landing on the edge of one of these lakes and enjoy a picnic lunch with a view. You will be offered cold meats, traditional cheeses and fresh baguettes during this lunch break.

You will have time to walk around the lake with your guide who will show you the most beautiful landscapes not to be missed. If you wish to explore the lake during your lunch break, you will have the opportunity to do a paddleboarding session on the lake. You will take the reverse route on the return journey and taken to the heliport at the end of your activity.

  • Seasonal activity: mid-July to mid-October only
  • Availability: every day (except under exceptional circumstances)
  • Start times: 11 am and 2 pm (Please note: paddleboarding is only available on the 2 pm flight)
  • Departure point: Heliport road, Whistler
  • In order to board the helicopter, each passenger will be required to present a valid ID
  • The private helicopter flight will be in groups of no more than 4 people, a minimum of 2 participants is required to take part in this activity
  • The maximum weight per passenger is 158 kilos
  • Children under 2 years old can take part in the activity free of charge on their parents' laps
  • In the event of bad weather leading to cancellation, an alternative time or date will be offered. If no date or time is convenient for you, you will receive a full refund
  • Please note: as the alpine lakes are frozen and therefore very cold, you must be in good physical condition and a strong swimmer if you choose the paddleboard option
  • Bring hiking shoes or sports shoes, as well as an outfit that is suitable for the season
  • Don't forget to bring your swimming costume and a towel if you choose the paddleboarding option and/or if you decide to swim in the alpine lake
  • This activity is not accessible for people with reduced mobility
